Hospital Activities - Outreach Camps

Medical provisions

Outreach camps have recently been started where medical and paramedical staff of the hospital visit surrounding villages that have no other access to health care.

They check concerned patients in the village, provide necessary medication or spectacles, and where required are taken back to the hospital for surgery or further treatment.

These outreach camps are backed up by the Eye clinics started in 2007.

Community Provisions

Regular supplies of daily essentials such as food and clothing are continually distributed to villages throughout the year; such villages where even basic necessities are not being met.

Distributions include for example, sweaters for children, blankets, metal trunks to store clothing/blankets, metal buckets & jugs, heat, lentils, rice, potatoes, salt, sugar, soya bean oil with metal vessels to store, soap, washing powder.

These distributions are dependant upon private donations throughout the year.
