Gynaecological Care

Due to the lack of education and facilities, child births in the villages can result in high infant/mother mortality.

The Gynaecological hospital works to overcome this by providing for, safe child birth, pre/post pregnancy care for mother and child and family planning measures are also encouraged.

Eye care and Surgery

A fully equipped new eye hospital has been built in the last 3 years and carries out over a 100 cataract operations per day. The hospital has latest equipment including: operating microscope, Phaco emulsification machine, Scan A&B, Auto keratometers, and refraction units. The aim of the hospital is to provide the highest technological treatment possible to the underprivileged. Please also see Outreach camps page.

General Medicine

The old eye hospital has been re-established as a general medical hospital with fully equipped operating theatres. Please also see Outreach camps page.

Dental Care as of 2008!

During our December 2008 visit, the new dental clinic will be launched! As well as providing treatments such as cleaning, extractions, fillings and root canals, the dentists will provide training and education to hospital staff. This will help ensure the clinic can continue to provide basic dental care and advice after they leave.
